Recipe

Here is the recipe for the Cincinnati Chili, per your request. I have to give credit to Jeanna though. She is the person that was generous enough to share this beautiful recipe with me, and these are her instructions and recipe. Here it is:

Simmer until beef is cooked:

2 T oil

2 lbs beef

1 quart water

Add:

1-6 oz can tomato paste

2 large yellow onions

1-1/2 T vinegar

1 t worcestershire sauce

1 clove garlic

5 bay leaves

2 t cinnamon

1 t allspice

2 t cayenne

1-1/2 T cocoa

Then let simmer for 1-1/2 to 2 hours.

I don't think I've ever used all that cayenne and I don't think I used 2 big onions either. I may or may not have used the allspice, depending on whether I had it on hand or not.

OH....and don't forget salt to taste....I always forget that.

ENJOY!!!!

Cincinnati chili

Well, I suppose everyone out there has guessed that I was finished with blogging. Oh, contrare! I simply thought that the public needed a good 8 months to refer back to that beautiful pair of shoes. What were people to do, if they got home after a long, tough day, and didn't have those awe inspiring shoes to look at? I understand. Now is something just as inspiring. Above is a picture of a culinary masterpiece. It's called Cincinnati Chili. If you haven't had the chance to try this, I would be happy to post the recipe. It is so dang good! Thanks Jeanna, for bringing this into my life!
